Versant JPA Release 0.9

The Java Persistence API (JPA)

The Java Persistence API (JPA) is the Java API for the management of persistence for Java environments. Versant now offers a JPA 2.0 implementation that provides a proven, commercial quality persistence solution that can be used with Versant Object Database (VOD) in Java applications. The JPA project will deliver persistence services that focus on performance, productivity, and flexibility, providing an extensible framework that enables Java software developers to interact with VOD in an efficient and productive manner.

Standards Based Persistence with JPA

Designed to manage complex object structures and relationships using the well-established Java programming standard, Versant JPA provides a foundation for real-time analytics with very large data sets by connecting to Versant’s high performance database. Developers can use existing coding skills with Versant JPA to process previously unmanageable Big Data sets without learning yet another proprietary persistence API.

The Versant JPA Release 0.9 is not a BETA release. Please provide us with your feedback and/or comments regarding the Versant JPA Release 0.9.
